Our Corporate Social Responsibility Drive

Pacific Controls regards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a business principle. Our strategies and actions are in line with our commitment to sustainable development and energy savings built on economic progress, social development and environmental improvement. We bring in our knowledge and enthusiasm for environmental commitments into all the projects that we implement.



Our commitment to improve the environment has led us to be active in a number of environmental groups, associations and government-sponsored programs including the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) - a voluntary, non-government organization (NGO) devoted to protecting the environment in the UAE, and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) - a non-profit membership society with over 10,000 professional members in 77 countries promoting energy efficiency. We actively participate and sponsor EEG's programs which included their Recycling Campaign "Can Collection Campaign September 2004-May 2005" for which we sponsored the first cash prize of AED 10000.

Pacific Controls fully supports the Corporate Social Responsibility program of the Government of UAE. Our Corporate Social Responsibility, with special emphasis on environment protection, is aimed at creating awareness on the concept of Green Buildings in the UAE helping the society build a sustainable energy future. This innovative effort targets social involvement with a business approach, which develops projects that build on our unique expertise and experience in energy savings.


Our strong CSR practices can be realized right from our strategy implementation based on sustainability that:

1. Bring in increased energy efficiency and lowered consumption
2. Support sustainable developments in realizing the future of "Green" energy, with a particular focus on solar
3. Develop eco-friendly products and solutions in the market
(for an economically viable sustainable energy needs)
4. Participate and contribute in corporate/social initiatives on environment protection that support
this transition
5. Help promote the sustainable development concept for a healthier work, learning and living
environment with optimized use of natural light and better air quality for building occupants
6. Enhance environmental performance and economic payback of buildings using both established
and innovative practices, standards and technologies.
7. Help in increasing the level of public awareness on environmental issues through its advertising campaigns

Green Building: Our Contribution to Sustainable Development

Pacific Controls’ commitment to improve the environment in line with the Dubai Government’s environmental initiatives has resulted in pioneering the "Green" concept for its new prestigious headquarters in Dubai. This LEED Platinum rated "Green Building", the first-of-its-kind to be built in Dubai, is coming up at the Techno Park.

Our Green Building initiative is in line with our commitment to the Dubai Government’s drive towards achieving sustainable environmental protection. We are adopting an integrated design to maximize energy efficiency in our Green Building. We are using solar energy for the building’s entire lighting needs and solar-thermal air-conditioning for its fresh air cooling requirements. Through this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, we focus on promoting Green Buildings around the world.

The crescent-shaped building is to house a Research and Development (R&D) centre, which will serve as the "Centre of Excellence" for automation business in the Middle East. The Centre will focus on developing eco-friendly automation solutions and products for the global markets.

This environment-friendly Green Building is a major environmental accomplishment that promotes energy efficiency taking into consideration environmental impacts and waste minimization.
