PCS Home Automation Appliance
The Home Automation Appliance from Pacific Controls utilizes
the Niagara framework technology providing "out-of-the-box"
solution that is capable of integrating with multiple
devices or protocols. The framework transforms the diverse
external data from these multiple devices/protocols into
normalized components at a higher or "virtual" level within
the framework.
Re-usable software application modules can be developed
using the Niagara framework tools, i.e., a single user
interface can be used to develop various applications
addressing functions/parameters such as alarms, schedules,
energy management strategies etc. and applied to HVAC
systems, lighting controls, and security systems.
The Home Automation Appliance installed at the customer’s
site along with LAN/WAN connectivity enables technicians to
access the pre-built appliance modules via the Internet and
configure them by simply filling in the entry fields. This
results in faster configuration and commissioning of the
equipment remotely by partially skilled resources, thus
enabling effective utilization of internal resources.
