Pacific Controls sponsors the first prize of Emirates Environmental Group's "Can Collection Campaign"

Dubai, June 3, 2005: Pacific Control Systems LLC, supporting Emirates Environmental Group’s (EEG) Recycling Campaigns, has sponsored the first cash prize of AED 10000 for the campaign, "Can Collection Campaign September 2004-May 2005".

The Recycling Campaign, launched by EEG for driving a clean, healthy and sustainable environment, has gained widespread acceptance by community members and groups with multi-sectoral involvement.

To commemorate the success of these environment conservation programs and acknowledge the commitment taken by individuals and groups in being part of the can and paper recycling campaigns, EEG conducts an awards ceremony each year on the occasion of the World Environment Day on June 5.

In recognition of being the first prize sponsor for the Can Collection Campaign, the Emirates Environmental Group presented a crystal plaque to Pacific Controls. The Can Collection Campaign has yielded 49,024.15 kgs. of aluminium till date, the quantity collected in the last cycle being 9,000 kgs.
