LEED Green Building Rating System

The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating
System, developed by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), is a
voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance,
sustainable
buildings. Members of the USGBC representing all segments of the building
industry developed LEED and continue to contribute to its evolution.
LEED provides a complete framework for assessing building performance and
meeting sustainability goals. LEED recognizes achievements and promotes
expertise in green building through a comprehensive system offering project
certification, professional accreditation, training and practical resources. The
full program offers training workshops, professional accreditation, resource
support and third-party certification of building performance.
The applicant project must satisfactorily document achievement of all the
prerequisites and a minimum number of points to attain the LEED ratings:
Certified - 26 to 32 points; Silver - 33 to 38 points; Gold - 39 to 51 points;
and Platinum - 52 or more points.
Pacific Controls is aspiring to achieve the LEED Platinum rating for the project

having undergone rigorous processes of design and implementation strategies.
