The Technology
M2M:
Machine to machine communications, the backbone
of Pacifc Control’s service delivery is commonly
known as M2M or telemetry. This fundamentally
connects communications-enabled remote machines
or devices, allowing key information to be exchanged
automatically. The remote assets can be either
stationary or mobile and can even include a range of
non-traditional networked devices. This technology
has reenergized modern computing to deliver cutting
edge services like context based awareness and
other ubiquitous applications.
Pacifc Controls a vanguard in the feld of M2M,
is establishing services and infrastructure to
progressively leverage the “internet of things”. The
graph above shows the price of access to high
speed internet access is very low across large
Nations such as Japan, France, and Australia.
This sets the stage up for services such as Pacifc
Controls that rely of such infrastructure to deliver the
value of data emanating from networked devices,
smart grids etc.
The Command Control Centre (CCC) is an
infrastructure used by Pacifc Controls to
consolidate, analyze and deliver solutions based
on the aggregation of data from world over. It
with telco as a great deal of manual intervention
is required. With Galaxy, this issue is rendered
toothless due to the ease of magnifcation potential
in it.
The access for third party to Galaxy reinforces
its pivotal role in the partnership with
telecommunication providers. This strikes a rare
balance between the promptness of Commercial
Off The Shelf (COTS) solutions with the accuracy
of customizing solutions on demand and also
drastically cuts down on development costs.
These allow the Communication Service Providers
(CSP) to draw from large traditional and non-
traditional development communities for new
revenue generating services.
Supports key business drivers:
Galaxy will bolster the critical process drivers by
being reconfgurable to suit the business needs.
The SDP will play an important role in the
infrastructure management of the network provider
so as to reduce the operational costs and gain
greater margin on the services delivered. This
will provide momentum in steeping into the next
generation customer centric environment as legacy
systems will be unable to stretch to conform to the
requirements.
