User Functionality
Vehicle Location
The password-protected web browser interface allows
operators to obtain an instant view of the location of their
vehicles identifed by vehicle registration, vehicle/unit ID
number and named driver. Initially showing a national area
view, users can quickly and easily zoom to view locations
across the country, down to individual areas or vehicles to
0.5m accuracy at street-detail level.
The vehicle detail also shows the direction in which the
vehicle is currently traveling and its speed. Through color-
coding, the user will also be able to check the status
of the engine: moving/stationary and idling/switched
off. For each case, an alert can be confgured and sent
to selected recipients via email messaging for further
investigation.
