For companies that want to retain control of their
applications, but are happy to outsource maintenance of
their servers. Pacifc Controls offers IaaS (Infrastructure
as a Service): Virtual server instances with a choice of
operating system hosted on the Pacifc Controls cloud
infrastructure. Pacifc Controls offers both Windows and
Linux operating systems:
• Windows 2008 Server, Standard 32 / 64 bit, Enterprise
32 / 64 bit and other Windows operating systems
customers require.
• Red Hat Linux 32 / 64 bit editions and other favors of
Linux customers require.
Managed Cloud hosting provides cost savings through
reduced CAPEX along with the fexibility to scale capacity
on a monthly basis model. In Managed cloud Hosting,
customers lease one or more virtual servers from Pacifc
Controls which undertakes the responsibility of managing
the virtual servers and Operating Systems (OS) but not the
applications that run on them.
In addition, Pacifc Controls will undertake the
responsibility of providing managed services that include
backup, storage, security, network, and application
and system administration services. The entire hosted
infrastructure is managed on a 24x7x365 basis and is also
backed by the stringent SLAs required for high availability,
reliability, security and redundancy.
Pacifc Controls also provide dedicated servers and
monitor and manage clients’ IT infrastructure (server,
network, hardware), operating system and applications,
with managed security.
Rack Space is allocated on a per Rack Unit (RU) basis
and customers can lease servers with support and
warranty and have them installed and confgured by
Pacifc Controls. Operating systems can be monitored
and managed, including installation and confguration,
fxes, patches and updates as well as tuning and
optimization.
Access ports can be provided for both shared and
dedicated servers with redundant internet connnectivity,
remote access VPN services and public IP addresses
Security services include 24x7 frewall management and
monitoring, anti-virus, and intrusion protection. There is
a network intrusion detection system and the security is
continuously monitored and logged.
The backup and storage services include a daily
differential backup and a weekly full backup with off-site
storage and backup retention periods defned by the
customer.
The service desk is available 24x7 with a single point
of contact for each customer and a dedicated account
manager. Support requests will be dealt with 24x7 and
the support staff can provide remote hands for manual
operations.
