5.3 Security and support
are second to none
The data centres have the very latest 24x7 monitoring
systems for physical security and fre and smoke and
water leak detection and a proactive response mechanism
for averting an unstable data centre environment. There is
continuous surveillance of the site and staff are monitoring
the alerts and inputs from the BMS at all times. Physical
security of the site is assured by security guards, motion
detectors and security cameras. Entry control is through
access card and biometric access systems. There is
mandatory visitor registration, visitors are escorted by
authorized personnel at all times and employee access
is through badge recognition systems. There is CCTV
monitoring and recording in the Network Operations
Center of all doors and critical areas.
